While testimonials provide you with sincere and meaningful comments from our many satisfied customers, we wouldn't expect you to rely on that alone. Dakota Builders, Inc. carries all the requisite qualifications needed to assure you of quality results. As a start, Dakota Builders, Inc. is licensed, bonded and insured. We carry both general liability and workmen's compensation insurance. We are licensed with the city of Tucson and the state of Arizona, as a recognized business entity. Dakota Builders, Inc. is a member of the BBB and SAHBA (Gregory A. is chair and founder of the Remodelor's Council). And, it is worth noting that Gregory A. Miedema (President) is Tucson's only nationally accredited Certified Graduate Remodelor, and a Certified Graduate Builder, a testament of commitment to the industry, and to education and personal improvement, all of which ultimately benefits our customers. Greg is a member of the NAHB (National Association of Home builders) and attends the congress of local builders' associations as a Director of SAHBA (Southern Arizona Home Builders Association). As a Director for SAHBA Greg sits on the Seniors Housing Research Council, and other committees at NAHB. As a board member of SAHBA, he keeps in the forefront of policy making, much of which takes place at the national meetings three times a year. Installation ceremonies for SAHBA were held January 24, at which time Greg took over the position of Second VP. Building activity remains high in Tucson, but the responsibilities and challenges to the industry grow more and more complex. The NRC (National Remodelors™ Council) committee work is Public Affairs. Greg agreed to work with other members of the NRC and chair this group. And he continues as a Trustee of the NRC, which convenes at all NAHB conferences. Greg is also one of the original founders of the Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) program developed in collaboration by the AARP and NAHB. Greg is one of only two builders in Arizona with this special certification. The CAPS program is developed to certify builders in the special needs of senior and disabled homeowners who want to live in their homes for life. |
